Elevate and Celebrate: Women in Governance (WiG) 2024 Annual Recognition Gala in Toronto

Embark on an unforgettable evening at the heart of Toronto as we roll out the red carpet for the 11th edition of WiG’s Recognition Gala. This isn’t just a Gala; it’s a statement—a testament to the power of concrete actions to move the needle regarding gender parity in the workplace.

Presented by CIMA+, under the honorary co-presidency of Sarah Robson, CEO of Marsh McLennan Canada and President of Marsh Canada, and Patrick Poulin, President-Managing Director of Randstad Canada, this event promises to be a memorable convergence of leadership and inspiration. Namita KhatriDirector of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility (EDI&A) at Randstad Canada, will be our emcee.

This prestigious evening will bring together Canada’s top executive leaders to shine the spotlight on the close to 100 renowned organizations that achieved the Bronze to Platinum levels of WiG’s Parity Certification™ this year, along with our evaluation partners Accenture, Mercer, and WTW. Together we will celebrate their outstanding commitment to gender equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Join us for this luminous gathering: your support is the beacon that guides us forward. We are looking forward to seeing you to pay tribute to the certified organizations’ leaders who are redefining a more inclusive corporate landscape.

About our Parity Certification™

Created in 2017, and the first of its kind in North America, the Parity Certification helps organizations increase the representation of women where they have historically been underrepresented, as well as in senior management positions. Accenture, Mercer, and WTW support the WiG team in the assessment of applications. The robust tool not only evaluates parity at the decision-making level of an organization, but also evaluate the implementation of mechanisms that enable women at all levels to achieve career advancement, creating a pipeline of female talent. Particular attention is also given to intersectionality to ensure that BIPOC, Indigenous, and LGBTQ2S+, as well as women with disabilities are sponsored, supported, and promoted. So far, the Parity Certification has directly impacted nearly 1,000,000 employees across Canada and the United States. Visit our Parity Certification microsite to learn more!
